Hi all at CQ. Carperby gig on April 10th now SOLD OUT. Returns only, I'm afraid. We have people coming from Anglesey, Suffolk & Rugby as well as Durham, Middlesborough & Leeds. Lots of smiley faces in the village.

Really looking forward to 10th April when 6 of us are coming to see the guys at Carperby. It's my 40th on 18th April and wondered in advance if they could do me a rendition of Queen of Contradiction-my lovely husband Mick says it was written for me-cheeky!!!

Thanks to all who came to the Hare and Hounds last night - we had a great evening and my jaw is recovering from the bash it got from Gery's guitar!!! My fault really - I should know better! Next Midlands gig I'll be the one on stage wearing a crash helmet!

Thanks for the lovely comments about Swindon too - lovely venue and great fun!

See you soon.

Always love it when I can fit 2 CQ gigs in the same week :) Bostin night in Brum, Marion's vocals were on fire. Kudos!

We did have a chuckle at Mrs Bennett's eyes, as we happened to have a Mrs Bennett and a Bill at our table(who happens to be a very impressed newbie)!

Luckily for me Feathers was played as said Mrs Bennett had been threatening not to talk to me again if it wasn't... oh hang on, that might have been a good thing, she doesn't half nag!

There are a couple of people very much looking forward to the next Midlands gig, but I'm not sure Marion will want to do one! Both times we've seen CQ in the Midlands Marion has been unceremoniously bashed over the head with Gerry's Guitar. We're calling it the Mariachi oof!

Taken a while to get on here, but just want to say thanks for a couple of great gigs @ Winchester & Swine Town, looking forward to the CQ hour at Cropredy this year !! :-D , DJ's at the ready Boys!!

By the way, next venue, can you please insist that they keep the bar open when the gig has finished - especially on the weekend! :((

Hi Debs - fair comment. It's just that CQ deserve more! Will try and see if I can suggest them to our local venue.

Hi, a few people have said 'what a shame about the 'small' audience in Swindon'. To put this into perspective - there were 72, which considering it was a new venue for CQ - they'd never played there before - was a respectable start. I would classify half that amount as a 'small' audience. I know other promoters check out guestbooks to gauge a band's popularity, and wouldn't want them to be put off by the comments. 72 for a first time booking in a new area - in this current climate - is really not bad, believe me! b(^) Thanks to Bill and Jan and the Friends of the Arts Centre for their help, it was a lovely evening in a great venue.

We'll raise a glass in your honour ... or maybe two :-D

Gerry said : "So people do wear suits to concerts!!!" after the Swindon gig. And so we did!

The look on Gerry's face when he came on stage and saw us in our DJs was a picture. If only he'd known the problems I had getting into that outfit when I hadn't worn it for 5 years or so. I really don't know why clothes shrink when they're left in the wardrobe for a few years [:-s

Very disappointed that we were the only ones who had made an effort :-) Hopefully we can get a better response at Cropredy....

Thanks for a great night in Swindon on Saturday.

Shame the audience was so small - you deserved better.

Hope to catch up with you again soon.

Great gig in Swindon ... shame there weren't more there but those who were thoroughly enjoyed it. You even managed to get my wife waving her arms around and joining in the singing javascript:smiley(':o') As I mentioned to Gerry afterwards, as church bell ringers we really appreciate "I am the bell". Not a subject explored too much in song, but as enthusiastic campanolgists we think it's a great song! See you in Cromer.

Steve - amazing!!! So looking forward to coming there again. Can we do that lovely walk the next day again? It was so beautiful - worth battling the hangover for! I'll be bringing my walking boots this time, and a book to sit by the waterfall with. See you very soon. X 6(^)6
