Hello to you all,

We are slowly drifting back to headquarters at CQ Towers, changing strings and girding loins [must get that line into a song sometime] for the round of exciting festivals coming up.

It would appear that there's been some Association Football thing going on for the last nine months and for some of us in CQ its a relief that its finally reaching a conclusion. Nick and Al are pretty keen and got very excited when England played somebody called Slovenia. We all watched the game and I'm sure at least three of those Slovenians I recognised from our local car wash, they probably nipped out during a lunch break and were back at work by nine thirty.

Anyway we thrashed them one nil when one of "our players" attempted to head the ball and it accidently hit his knee and ended up in the net. Nick and Al blew their vuvuzela's waking Mart up..the former goalkeeping superstar Gerry 'the Cat' Colvin opined that he could have saved that even after his cruciate ligament injury and Marion, being a girl, put the kettle on.

Four great festivals coming up.

Ely Folk Festival is on the 9th July. NOW SOLD OUT but if you already have tickets please come and say hello.

Bromsgrove Folk Festival. We're there on the 10th July. Check their website www.bromsgrovefolkclub.co.uk for details of ticket sales etc.

Warwick Folk Festival runs from the 23rd until the 25th July and again you should check their website for details at www.warwickfolkfestival.co.uk

Broadstairs Folk Week runs from the 6th until the 13 August and many events take place throughout this beautiful seaside town, including us on the 8th at the concert marquee.

Hope to see all of you sometime somewhere, thanks for staying

Gerry, Al, Marion, Martin, Nick
